Engineering TechnicianDepartment: Manufacturing Research & DevelopmentThe Engineering Technician will be responsible for assisting with design, CNC programing, machining operations, manufacturing and assembling test articles, maintaining R&D facility areas, and other duties. This job is multifaceted and requires the ability to collaborate with multiple groups and perform a variety of functions on a daily basis.Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Provide technical support to MR&D team and Product Development teams.Job Duties include but are not limited to machining operations, composite part layup, waterjet operations, bandsaw trimming, paint booth, etc. Qualifications and Skills:Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office), with CAD experience preferred (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam)Mechanical aptitude, with experience building prototypes, mock-ups, tooling, and working with composites preferred.Ability to work independently and as part of a teamMust be self-motivated and able to be successful with limited supervisionAbility to follow written and verbal, multi-step instructions, and communicate questions and suggestions to peers, supervisors and other LTC personnel.Physical DemandsHand / Finger dexterityAbility to lift/carry/push/pull heavy materials up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand for extended periods of time
