Position SummaryWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Water Jet Operator to join our manufacturing team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating water jet cutting machinery, reading blueprints, and producing precision-cut materials while maintaining quality and safety standards. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term growth potential for candidates who demonstrate reliability, strong performance, and a commitment to safety.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and monitor water jet cutting machines to cut materials according to specifications and production schedulesRead and interpret blueprints, work orders, technical drawings, and measurements to ensure precision and accuracyAdjust machine settings, cutting parameters, and tooling based on material type and production requirementsLoad and unload raw materials safely and efficientlyInspect finished products for quality, dimensions, and defects using measuring tools and quality standardsPerform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting to ensure equipment efficiencyMaintain accurate production records and documentation as requiredFollow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and warehouse/manufacturing protocolsCollaborate with supervisors, machine operators, and production teams to meet deadlines and productivity goalsKeep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standardsQualifications & RequirementsPrevious experience operating water jet machinery in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferredExperience with CNC-controlled equipment or industrial machinery is highly preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, measurements, and production specificationsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsBasic computer skills for machine operation and data entry preferredAbility to use measuring instruments such as calipers, tape measures, and gaugesStrong attention to detail and quality control mindsetAbility to work independently and in a team environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift for extended periods during the shiftAbility to lift up to 75 lbs as neededComfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperaturesAbility to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection, and high-visibility gearPreferred ExperienceExperience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, aerospace, automotive, or industrial production environmentsFamiliarity with CNC programming, machine calibration, or precision cutting equipment preferred
