Attention CHEFS / COOKS with experience cooking independently! Want a cook job working Monday - Friday and NO LATE HOURS?Sundara Senior Living, a boutique style memory care licensed assisted living located in Round Rock, Texas is seeking a skilled independent COOK to menu plan, prepare delicious meals, and maintain sanitation for residents living with dementia. Must be able to independently cook in bulk for minimum of 50 people.Candidates will be subject to a back ground check qualified to work in a licensed assisted living facility.Lead COOK Role ResponsibilitiesIndependently menu plan, prep and cook delicious and nutritious meals.Cook food meeting all food safety requirements and follow health department sanitation requirements while delivering appetizing and well-prepared meals.Be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking.Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipmentPrepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.) and be experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques.Ensure appetizing plate presentationDeliver meals within scheduled time requirements.Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchenClean and sanitize kitchen between mealsEnsure all food and other items are stored properlyCheck quality of ingredientsManage and maintain proper inventory and stock food supplyAdvance meal prep including proper storage and leaving proper reheating instructions for weekend staffMaintain required trainings to work in a licensed assisted living facility.Leak Cook SkillsProven experience as working cook, medium to high volume production, menu planning and inventory management.*Must be confident preparing food for at least 50 people independently. *If you do not have experience with these skills, please do not apply.
