Pro Shop Maintenance/Golf Cart AttendantSeasonal Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of labor related tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of the District's grounds, buildings, user areas and equipment.The Pro Shop Maintenance/Golf Cart Attendant performs tasks associated with the maintenance and operations of the Pro Shop and surrounding areas as well as daily operations of the golf cart fleet.Primary ResponsibilitiesSet carts out daily for rental and returns carts to storage as applicableCheck golf carts daily for cleanliness and clean carts when necessary to maintain the appearance of the cartsInspect carts for any maintenance or safety issues and ensure that each cart has been serviced as neededRetrieve and clean balls from the practice rangeMaintain neatness and cleanliness of the Pro Shop and surrounding areas, including daily cleaning and trash removalEnsure rental area(s) are set up for events and functionsProvide efficient, helpful, and courteous service to all patrons and guests in and around the Pro ShopPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsRequired QualificationsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to understand and follow both written and verbal directionsMust be able to effectively communicate with golf course patrons and to develop good working relationships with co-workers and other District employeesAbility to work independently in daily operations under general supervision, to exercise judgement in the performance of duties, and to identify and solve problems as they ariseMust possess a valid driver's licensePreferred QualificationsExperience in a similar position with like dutiesKnowledge of and interest in game of golfFamiliarity with Lake of the Woods Golf CourseCPR/AED and First Aid certification or ability to become certified within 2 months of employmentWork Environment and Physical DemandsNormal duties may include stooping, twisting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Prolonged standing or walking, often on unpaved/uneven terrain, will be frequent. The employee may regularly handle, grasp, or feel objects; reach, push, or pull to reposition items; and may regularly lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height or above and up to 100 pounds to carrying height. Ability to talk and hear or otherwise effectively communicate with staff and patrons is required. Visual acuity necessary for this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.Use of personal protective equipment will be required based on job specific tasks. This may include, but is not limited to: work boots, protective gloves, safety goggles or glasses, chaps, earplugs or ear covers, reflective vest or hi-vis shirt, respirator or mask, and helmet or hard hat.The work environment characteristics and physical demands described above are representative of those an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
