Echocardiographer Technician

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Echo Technician/Echocardiographer responsible for performing and interpreting echocardiograms including M-mode, 2-D, pulse and continuous Doppler, color Doppler, contrast, and stress echocardiograms. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care for adult and geriatric patients while ensuring timely documentation and accurate diagnostic results.Key Responsibilities:Perform echocardiograms including M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, color Doppler, contrast, and stress echo procedures.Complete echo worksheets and required calculations accurately and in a timely manner.Provide care and assessments for adult and geriatric patients.Explain procedures and instructions clearly to patients.Assist Cardiologists during diagnostic procedures.Document all exams in patient medical records.Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment and assigned work areas.Ensure rooms are properly stocked with supplies.Support and assist students and fellows with on-the-job training.Participate in continuing education, seminars, and training programs.Follow professional ethics, patient care standards, and safety protocols.Required Skills & Qualifications:Current Echo Registry certification required.Minimum 2 years of Echocardiographer experience preferred.Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment and echocardiography procedures.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work with adult and geriatric patients effectively.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 20 pounds routinely.Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform patient transfers.Strong visual, hearing, and manual dexterity skills required for patient testing and equipment handling.
