Performs other duties as assigned to assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals.Education, Training, Experience, Certification And LicensureNYS certification as a Security Guard required. High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum of two years security experience highly desirable. College level course work in criminal justice a definite plus, but not required.BLS/CPR certification and first aid training required.Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.Special Equipment, Skills Or Other RequirementsAbility to diffuse and handle violent physical situations calmly. Excellent interpersonal skills.Work Environment And HazardsClinical and outdoor setting. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
