Specialty Software EngineerGenesis10 is currently seeking a Specialty Software Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in San Francisco, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This is a hands-on development role with a strong coding focus, joining a team building and deploying greenfield Agentic AI solutions. The successful candidate will primarily build, enhance, and support AI agents that orchestrate and automate marketing campaign activities within a highly visible, strategic program. The hybrid schedule is approximately 3 days per week onsite.Responsibilities:Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software EngineeringReview and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challengesContribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsBuild, enhance, and support cutting-edge AI agentsStrategically collaborate and consult with developers, architects, and other client personnelRequirements:5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of experience with Python5+ years of experience with Microservices5+ years of experience with API Development/Integration5+ years of experience with MongoDBStrong experience as a backend Python developer building and supporting microservices-based applicationsExperience designing and consuming APIsFamiliarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, and AI orchestration conceptsExperience working with MongoDB and vector databasesDesired Skills:2+ years of experience with Agentic AIExperience with FastAPI, AsyncIO, and MultiprocessingKnowledge of performance tuning, profiling, caching strategies, and database/query optimizationFamiliarity with event-driven architecture and high-availability, fault-tolerant system designExperience with Generative AI application development, multi-agent workflow design, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)Skills in prompt engineering, prompt orchestration, tool calling, and LLM routingExperience with model evaluation frameworks, hallucination detection, and Human-in-the-loop validationKnowledge of enterprise AI platform architecture, AI governance standards, and AI guardrails implementationExperience with Kafka and streaming data pipelinesUnderstanding of vector database architecture, semantic retrieval, and embedding pipelinesPay range: $70.63 - $78.63 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
