Master's degree or higher in theoretical or applied Biology or Life Sciences field with graduate level hours in anatomy and physiology OR MD, DO, DDS, DVM, DC, DPT, PharmD, OD with graduate level hours in anatomy and physiology.Preferred Education/Training/ExperienceM.S. or Ph.D. in BiologySome teaching experience in biology, anatomy and physiology, and microbiology courses at a community or two-year college.Minimum Knowledge & SkillsAbility to teach anatomy and physiology courses.Preferred Knowledge & SkillsAbility to teach nutrition, general biology, anatomy and physiology, and microbiology courses.Job DutiesPrepare, develop, revise curriculum and course work.Meet classes as scheduled.Complete paperwork/tests and issue student grades as scheduled.Maintain office hours for student consultation.Serve on committees as needed and assigned.Other duties as appropriate to the position.Licensing/Certification RequirementsNonePhysical RequirementsPositions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and seeing.Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
