This role focuses on vendor coordination, technology planning, equipment lifecycle management, cybersecurity oversight, and supervision of the other role(s) on the IT team. The managed IT service provider handles help desk and core infrastructure support, while the IT Manager ensures accountability, performance, and alignment with organizational goals.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage IT procedures, processes, and resources in alignment with UGMTC mission, vision, values, and policies.Serve as the primary liaison with the managed IT service provider, monitoring performance, escalations, and service delivery.Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that support operational efficiency and long-term sustainability.Coordinate administration of Microsoft 365 in partnership with the managed IT provider.Oversee software licensing and ensure compliance across the organization, including Microsoft and Adobe.Oversee deployment and configuration of network, server and desktop hardware (with MSP support).Oversee and coordinate all security camera systems, including maintenance, upgrades, permissions, and vendor support.Oversee VOIP phone system administration, vendor coordination, call routing changes and equipment lifecycle management.Oversee printer management including supplies, maintenance, troubleshooting coordination and contract/vendor oversight.Maintain accurate inventory of all IT equipment and manage lifecycle replacement planning.Lead and coordinate technology-related projects, ensuring clear timelines, communication and user readiness.Provide accounting with accurate allocation details for technology expenses.Support the CFO in preparing and managing the IT budget and technology procurement.Ensure cybersecurity practices are established, continuously updated, and aligned with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational risk management strategies.Supervise, coach and evaluate the other role(s) on the IT team, providing clear direction and performance expectations.Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technology issues in coordination with vendors.Maintain collaborative relationships with all departments, ensuring reliable access to technology resources.Promote a Christ-centered culture in decision-making, leadership and team development.At any time, with or without notice, perform other duties and activities as assigned.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s in computer science, information systems or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years of IT systems experience.Minimum 1 year of supervisory or team-lead experience.Networking and cyber security experience required.Project management experience preferred.Ability to travel between UGTMC sites (primarily in St. Paul).Supports UGMTC’s Christian mission and Statement of Faith.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Strong customer service orientation and relationship-focused leadership.Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.Experience working with confidential and sensitive information.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common business applications.Ability to support technology outside of MSP scope (camera, business apps, VOIP intranet).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Supervisory experience with ability to delegate and develop staff.Commitment to continuous improvement and organizational excellence.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office/shelter work environment.Regular travel between multiple UMGTC sites within St. Paul.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Work requires pushing, pulling, reaching, crouching, stooping, walking, twisting, carrying, and other physical activities.BenefitsHealth insurance, including Nice HealthcareDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insuranceLong Term Disability insuranceAD&D insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time offMN Paid Leave9 paid HolidaysSpiritual Retreat DayChildcare—reduced rate for UGMTC Child Development CenterOur Mission is changing lives, and we want you to join us!
