Our client is currently seeking a qualified Network and Data Center Architect to join their team onsite in Andover, MA. This Architect will lead the design, implementation, and support of the enterprise infrastructure environment. This role will be responsible for network architecture, data center technologies, virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions across a multi-site environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide architectural leadership while partnering closely with operations, engineering, and business stakeholders.Duties And ResponsibilitiesNetwork ArchitectureDesign, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructureDevelop and support LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and security solutionsManage Cisco Catalyst and Meraki networking environmentsDefine network standards, segmentation, resiliency, and high-availability strategiesLead network upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management initiativesData Center & VirtualizationDesign and support data center infrastructure and virtualization platformsManage VMware ESXi and vCenter environmentsDrive capacity planning, performance optimization, and high-availability strategiesSupport server infrastructure and hardware lifecycle planningStorage, Backup & Disaster RecoveryArchitect and support enterprise storage solutions using Dell EMC platformsManage storage provisioning, performance optimization, and capacity planningOversee backup and recovery solutions, including cloud-based data protectionEnsure disaster recovery readiness and compliance with recovery objectivesInfrastructure & OperationsServe as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex infrastructure and network issuesSupport incident, change, and problem management processesCoordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal support teamsDevelop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational proceduresLeadership & CollaborationProvide technical leadership and architectural guidancePartner with infrastructure, security, and application teams on strategic initiativesMentor engineers and support knowledge-sharing across teamsPresent recommendations and solutions to technical and business stakeholdersSkills And Qualifications:Minimum 8+ years of experience in network, infrastructure, or data center architectureStrong experience with:Cisco Catalyst switching (9200/9300 series)Cisco Meraki (MX, MS, Wireless)SD-WAN, routing, and network segmentationVMware ESXi and vCenterEnterprise storage solutionsBackup and disaster recovery platformsExperience supporting multi-site enterprise environmentsStrong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skillsStrategic thinker with strong technical depthExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to balance architecture, operations, and business needsStrong focus on reliability, scalability, and continuous improvementTechnology EnvironmentCisco Catalyst & Meraki NetworkingSD-WAN & Enterprise WirelessVMware VirtualizationDell EMC StorageRubrik Backup & RecoveryWindows and Linux Server EnvironmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with Dell EMC PowerStore and Unity storage platformsExperience with Rubrik backup and recovery solutionsHybrid cloud or multi-site enterprise experienceFamiliarity with ITIL-based service delivery environmentsAutomation or scripting experience (Ansible, PowerShell, Python, etc.)Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, VCP, or equivalentNutanixWage Range: The rate for this position is between $65.47 - $87.29 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
