Manager Interpreter Service

- (3306746) Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing, the Interpreter Services Manager, manages the department of Medical Interpreter Services and Programs. Provides medical interpretation for clinical and non-clinical encounters to enable communication between patients and families with limited English proficiency (LEP); and clinicians and other hospital staff. Interpretation will be provided in person, in compliance with the National Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, MVH policies and standards to ensure patient safety and access to quality care. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma and National Certification (CMI, CHI, QMI, CoreCHI). Associates Degree or higher preferred. EXPERIENCE: Formal training in medical interpreting. National certification from accredited organization (ex. Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI), Core Certification Healthcare Interpreter (CCHI), Certified Healthcare Interpreter (CHI), National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI), etc.) preferred.
