Rental Shop Lead - Giants Ridge

Compensation Amount17.00 USD HourlyJob SummaryUnder the supervision of the Rental Shop Manager, the Rental Shop Lead assists in the daily operations of the rental shop, ensuring a high standard of guest service, cleanliness, equipment presentation, and quality control. This position provides support in all aspects of rental services, along with assisting climbing wall operations and serves as a backup for Lift Operations as needed.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvides guidance and support to Rental Shop Attendants, assists in training on proper equipment handling, software use, and guest service techniques. Reports performance concerns or training needs to the Rental Shop Manager.Assists guests with mountain sports equipment rentals, including fitting and adjusting equipment, filling out rental forms, and answering questions. Monitors daily rental operations, problem-solves as needed, and ensures a smooth guest experience, including handling guest concerns and resolving minor disputes.Maintains cleanliness, organization, and proper presentation of rental mountain sports equipment and facilities. Demonstrates basic mechanical skills to inspect, adjust, and perform minor repairs on mountain sports equipment to ensure proper function and guest safety.Prevents internal and external theft by maintaining awareness and enforcing shop policies. Attends and participates in meetings as required. Performs opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Rental Shop Manager. Supports pre- and post-season setup and teardown of the rental shop under the Rental Shop Manager's direction. Assists with tracking rental mountain sports equipment and inventory, ensure proper check-in and check-out processes.Completes data input, transaction processing, and daily paperwork organization using point-of-sale and rental management software. Assists in base area snow removal as needed.Assists with climbing wall operations under the direction of the Mountain Sports Shop Manager, ensuring safety protocols are followed.Acts as a backup for Lift Operations as assigned, support lift operations staff as needed and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Performs other related duties as directed or required. Skills And Knowedge Requirements IncludeHigh School Diploma/GED preferred.Previous customer service experience preferred.Knowledge of mountain sport equipment required. Ability to pass Rossignol training and certification program.Proficiency in point-of-sale and rental management software.Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities.Excellent problem solving and communication skills. Basic mathematical skills.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact clearly with guests and coworkers in a fast-paced environment.
