The Inspector will perform dimensional, receiving, and final inspection. (1st Shift, 6:00am - 2:30pm)Duties Will Require But Not Limited ToPerforms inspections for first article and production readinessManufacture and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specificationsMaintain accurate and reliable documentationPerform inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are manufactured in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specificationsVisually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfacesOperation of 3D structured light (i.e. “blue light”) scanners, CMM equipment, and associated software.Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the CellMaintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.Adhere to all safety standards and regulations Strive to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of machined parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing quality inspectionExperience with CMM systems and have familiarity with open DMIS language preferredExperience with optical 3D structed light scanning equipment and Geomagic Control X inspection software preferredKnowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading is required.Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).U.S. Citizenship status required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
