Engineering Technician
SUMMARYThe Engineering Technician will provide field service and engineering support for rig monitoring systems that requires frequent travel to field offices and customer locations. The Engineering Technician is responsible for implementing technological enhancements and solutions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupport, maintain and service rig monitoring data systems and technology packagesInstall, commission, calibrate, and repair electronic components at rig sitesEnsure quality control, data integrity and reliability of rig monitoring systemsProvide engineering and technical support to operations and field staffCommunicate and interface with customers remotely and in personTroubleshoot and resolve rig monitoring system or data issues; perform repairs and implement corrective actions or best practicesWork with operations and equipment providers to develop product improvements and preventative maintenance practicesWork in partnership with suppliers, purchasing teams and establish inventory control measuresDevelop, benchmark and track goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) to present to internal and external customersEngage employees and customers to identify market needs, complimentary products or services and growth opportunitiesAnalyze real time data, complex data sets and maintain databases for operational or business analysisPrepare lookbacks and generate post job reportsGather competitor strategic and tactical intelligenceDefine Ranger's value proposition and develop value-based selling toolsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Ability to travel as required REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEThis position is based in Midland, Texas and will require frequent visits to field sitesBachelor's degree in engineering or business administrationFundamental understanding of equipment and electronic systems and ability to perform required repairsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsProven project management skillsCollaboration, teamwork, strong interpersonal and effective communication skillsUnderstanding and adherence to company specific and industry safety proceduresGeneral knowledge of oilfield operations or experience in field service is a plus COMPUTERProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel; PowerBI a plusInformation Technology, data science or software development a plus PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTSMust complete and pass all required pre-employment screeningsEqual Opportunity Employer
