This position shares responsibility for maintaining Pasta Montana's food safety, quality, and legality program under the BRC guidelines.Pasta Montana team members are expected to maintain a positive work atmosphere through communication and behaving in a manner that is courteous and respectful to all customers, vendors, contractors, co-workers, leads and management. Pasta Montana team members are also expected to have on-time, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and must always be aware of and pay attention to their surroundings.Assists in keeping production lines running while keeping down time to a minimum.Ensures products and processes are compliant with all applicable local, State and Federal rules and regulations.Follows and complies with all Pasta Montana processes and BRC procedures.Assists in the successful completion of the manufacturing portion of the production schedule in a safe and orderly manner.Manufactures product following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Responsible for inspecting the magnets, dumping regrind and checking the buckets.Provides relief breaks for Operators by operating the presses.Conducts moisture tests and documents results on in-process products.Ensures that quality control standards are maintained by sampling/measuring in-process products.Communicates efficiently and effectively with all co-workers and departments.Prepares dies for die changes by transporting dies and related components from the die room to the press and assists in completing die changes.Maintains and cleans all dies, die washer, and die room in a safe and orderly manner.Maintains a clean and safe work environment.Accomplishes sanitation requirements as directed.Monitors the semolina and regrind handling system, empties the sifter "tailing" canisters regularly and inspects the magnets.Identifies quality deficiencies and effectively communicates them to the Operator and/or Lead.Performs other duties as assigned by the Operator, Lead and/or Operations Manager.Minimum Education: High school Diploma or equivalent.Minimum Experience: Some prior plant or commercial food manufacturing experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of the production principles, processes and good manufacturing practices is helpful. Understanding of personnel and safety standards. Able to function as a motivated team member in a highly dynamic environment. Able to work and communicate effectively in a team setting. Able to learn, troubleshoot and multi-task. Must have basic math skills.
