We are searching for an energetic Morning Show Traffic Anchor and MMJ. This role requires confidence in a studio environment, the ability to deliver clear and engaging live traffic reports, and the versatility to report on transportation, growth, and development stories across platforms. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable filling in as an anchor when needed.ResponsibilitiesDeliver urgent, accurate, and timely live traffic reports from both virtual and traditional studio setsCreate content for streaming platforms, digital stories, and social mediaKeep viewers informed about construction, transportation, and growth-related issues through compelling storytellingReport clearly, accurately, and responsibly in live and recorded settingsEnterprise and develop transportation- and community-focused storiesCollaborate with newsroom teams to support morning news coverageQualifications35 years of experience as a reporter, anchor, or live traffic anchorProven ability to shoot, write, and edit broadcast-quality packagesStrong live reporting, ad-libbing, and breaking news skillsHigh energy, engaging on-air personality suited for morning televisionWillingness and ability to work early morning shiftsCollege degree required, preferably in Journalism or a related fieldCBS News and Stations, brings together the power of CBS News, 28 owned television stations in 17 major U.S. markets, the CBS News Streaming Network, CBS News Streaming local platforms, local websites and cbsnews.com, under one umbrella. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
