An active fingertip force sensor programme that needs someone to own the physics end to end.What you'd ownThe transducer itself. Capacitive and piezoresistive sensing elements, from first principles through to a part that measures repeatably on a bench. Diaphragm mechanics, error budgets, noise floor, drift, hysteresis. The question of whether a design can hit its spec before anyone spends money machining it.Right now that means a fingertip force sensor with real open questions: what the low end actually resolves, how a compliant contact surface affects the calibration chain, and where the repeatability limits sit under off-axis loading.
