You’ll enhance customer- and internal-facing tools, ensuring seamless integration with backend systems and fast, intuitive experiences in the field. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of most web development tasks and help shape the direction of our products.While your primary focus will be web development, experience with Android mobile app development (Kotlin) is a plus, as you may occasionally support our scanner and tablet applications. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where your work has a direct, real-world impact.What You’ll DoBuild and improve Vue.js web applications that power FunTagg’s NFC ticketing and payment tools.Develop and maintain Node.js backend APIs and services that integrate securely with databases, kiosks, tablets, and third-party systems.Work closely with our lead engineer to deliver reliable, high-performance features for high-traffic, on-the-ground environments.Collaborate with product to design intuitive, responsive interfaces for both customers and operators — optimized for speed, usability, and offline operation.Ensure backend systems are secure, scalable, and ready to handle millions of transactions.Assist occasionally with Android/Kotlin development for our scanner and tablet apps.What We’re Looking For5+ years of experience in full-stack web development.Strong proficiency in Vue.js (or another modern JavaScript framework, with willingness to work in Vue).Solid experience with backend development in Node.js (or similar JavaScript/TypeScript backend frameworks).Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Couchbase, MongoDB).Understanding of modern front-end best practices and responsive design.Bonus: Experience with Android development in Kotlin.Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field preferred.Must be based in Raleigh-Durham, NC (or nearby) with ability to work hybrid.💵 Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive base salary with annual bonus eligibility Hiring Process: 3–6 month paid contract-to-hire period Benefits upon full-time conversion:💡 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance💡 Company-paid STD, LTD, and $50K life insurance💡 401(k) with employer match — plus an automatic 3% contribution, even if you don’t contributeWhy Join FunTagg?Join a fast-growing company with international reachBuild tech that’s used by millions in real-world, high-impact settingsContribute to a nimble, execution-focused cultureWork hybrid with flexible schedulingWe value growth and potentialWe know that women and underrepresented candidates are less likely to apply for roles unless they meet every single qualification.
