DevOps Architect

Job Description Experience – 10-12 years in software development process, with 3+ years as an architect. Roles and Responsibilities: Leading the overall end to end strategy, architecture and development of DevOps processes and tooling used to measure, optimize and enhance our system/solution development and qualification. To influence and guide the platform development with hand on implementation to be highly operable and efficient – for both development of new features and core operations. Design, architect, and implement next generation CI System and automation solutions. Drive CICD roadmap with focus on business impact. Collaborate continuously with the product development teams to implement CICD pipeline. - Perform analysis of the current practices and design and implement best practices and emerging concepts in CI landscape Takes responsibility for consistent implementation of engineering processes, methodologies, standards and tools Evaluate emerging technologies, exercise independent judgment, develop innovation proposals and makes recommendations to senior management Network and collaborate with senior BU technologists to achieve objectives and create business value Requirements: At least 4 years of experience in designing and implementation of Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution using pipeline-as-code paradigm and one or more DevOps tools / technologies in below areas Code Management System – Git Build – Maven / Ant /Gradle / MS Build Continuous Integration - Jenkins Code Quality – SonarQube / Junit Repostory – Nexus / Artifactory Continuous Deployment – Spinnaker Containerization – Docker, Kubernetes Infrastructure Provisioning – Terraform, ARM Templates Cloud Computing – AWS Operating Systesm – Unix, Linux (Red Hat Enterprise) At least 5 years of experience in writing scripts using Python / Shell Scripts At least 5 years of experience of translating customer requirements into system design specification, defining new architectures and ability to drive an indepent project from architectural stand point At least 4 years of experience of working on Application Contaneirization by developing Dockerfiles At least 4 years of experience of working on Container orchestration using Kubernetes for advanced installation, Configuration and deployments At least 3 years of experience of working in Mult-tenant Kubernetes architecture and Cloud Native design patterns At least 3 years of experience of any one monitoring tool such as Prometheus, CAdvisor or equivalent and any one container log management tool such as Splunk, elk or equivalent At least 7 years of experience in software development life cycle activities on Application development and maintenance projects using Java, JEE technologies Good Troubleshooting, Analytical, Communication and Client Interfacing skills Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment Analytical skills Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
