Legal and evidence-based psychedelic therapies introduce a paradigm shift in the treatment of mental health. At Journey Clinical, we are building a Telehealth platform to empower the 1M+ licensed psychotherapists nationwide to offer psychedelic therapies in their own practice, starting with FDA-approved ketamine. With a decentralized clinic model, Journey Clinical takes care of the medical aspect of the treatment in-house while Journey member psychotherapists are in charge of psychotherapy. Together, we will be working at the cutting edge of a groundbreaking field that is reshaping mental health and we will make a direct impact on people’s lives!ResponsibilitiesAlong with the Director of Engineering, build and scale our SaaS platform which will enable clinicians to practice psychedelic therapy and support patients on their therapeutic journey. Help us turn ideas into concrete digital products, all the way from product spec to feature launch (and be comfortable with ambiguity along the way).Integrate React into our Ruby on Rails application Build features in React, implement front end best practices, and be comfortable working across the stack in Ruby on RailsWrite high-quality, well-tested code. You don’t need to practice TDD on a daily basis, but we do expect a high level of experience and confidence with regards to spec writing.Work cross functionally with operations, legal, product, and design. Identify edge cases early and often.Help form an engineering team culture based on empathy and quality.Participate in code reviews by both reviewing code and having your code reviewed before pushing to production.Be ready to make important technology decisions, learn new technologies, and grow immensely as an engineer.Must-haves4+ years of professional React experience with strong opinions on front end best practicesStrong CSS experience Experience buliding mobile-responsive web applicationsExperience implementing and working with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, etc)Experience building user-facing products in a product-driven organizationEffective communicator able to translate business needs into actionable technical deliverablesExperience working in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance (early stage startup, agency, etc)Authorized to work in the U.S. with ability to work similar hours to ESTNice-to-havesRuby on Rails experienceHealthcare/HIPAA experienceMentorship experienceDevOps experience (building CI/CD workflows, deployments, etc)
