They also care for high risk antepartum and postpartum patients. This unit consists of a 3 bay OBED, 20 labor rooms, 3 ORs, and 3 PACU bays. Nurses on our unit circulate C-sections on expectant mothers, working with Physicians and the support of Nursing Assistants and Surgical Technicians.UNC REX has a dedicated team of OB Hospitalists who provide fast care and assessment or emergency services for patients during pregnancy or labor and delivery. We also partner with many private practice OB/GYNs and CNMs.Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:1 - 1:2RN Clinical Nurse II:Education Requirements: Graduate of Accredited Nursing ProgramLicensure/Certification Requirements: NC RN Licensure, ACLS, BCLS, NRPProfessional Experience Requirements: One year experience working as a licensed RNRN IV (Team Lead)Key Responsibilities:Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing processCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomesAssess, monitor, and adjust care plans based on patient needsSupport staff development, education, and a positive team environmentContribute to staffing, operational efficiency, and quality improvement initiativesPromote evidence-based practice and continuous clinical excellenceQualifications:BSN requiredActive NC RN license & BCLS certificationSpecialty certification within probationary periodMinimum 1 year RN experience
