Design Technology Intern

Washington, DC or Chicago, IL (Hybrid)Job DescriptionWe are looking for a full time, Design Technology Intern to start with us this summer. This position should be someone who is a graduating senior or 1-2 years of experience with design technology tools. $20-25/ hour depending on experience and 30-40 hours per week. Candidates local to Chicago or Washington, DC preferred.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical assistance to OTJ team members with design technology issuesTroubleshoot software issues related to Revit, ACC, Enscape, Bluebeam, etc.Develop training materials and resources for rendering workflows and collaboration toolsFollow established procedures and processes for tools including RevitProvide training and support to team members on the use of BIM toolsResearch and recommend solutions for rendering platformsQualificationsPursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or DesignBasic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking conceptsFamiliarity with design technology tools and processesStrong knowledge of RevitStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamStrong willingness to learn new technologyCandidates with experience using 3D printing, CNC machines, aerial photography/drones, and point cloud/laser scanning preferredAbout OTJOTJ is a premier architecture and design firm with offices in Washington, D.C., New York City, Miami, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas, and Chicago.
