EHS Assistant

The Assistant Controller ensures that all financial activity for the organization is recorded timely and accurately. This role is responsible for enforcing internal policies, providing strategic recommendations on financial processes, and optimizing related systems.As a key collaborator, you will interact with various internal departments to produce monthly financial data and serve as the primary interface for banking partners and external agencies. You will work extensively with external auditors to lead the annual financial audit and ensure organizational transparency and compliance.salary: $100,000 - $125,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: MastersResponsibilities- Financial Integrity: Maintain a deep knowledge base of accounting policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in the general ledger.- Leadership: Supervise and mentor staff to ensure departmental deadlines and strategic goals are met.- Reporting & Closing: Manage the monthly closing of the general ledger and oversee the production of workpapers for the year-end audit process.- Treasury Management: Review, forecast, and manage daily cash positions; provide data-driven recommendations to senior management regarding liquidity and fund sufficiency.- Compliance & Oversight: Ensure local and State tax compliance; review and approve journals to reflect complex organizational transactions.- Process Improvement: Conduct financial analysis and compare current practices against industry benchmarks as directed by the Controller.Skills- Accounting Coursework (6 years of experience is required)Qualifications- Years of experience: 0 years- Experience level: DirectorRandstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
