(CAI) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Food & Beverage to oversee all food and beverage operations at Luna Park in Coney Island. This senior leadership position is responsible for strategic direction, operational excellence, guest satisfaction, financial performance, and multi-departmental collaboration across all F&B outlets at the park.This role requires a driven, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and can successfully guide both year-round and seasonal teams.ABOUT USCentral Amusement International Inc. CAI is part of the Zamperla Group, the worldwide leader in amusement ride manufacturing.POSITION DETAILSTitle: Director of Food & BeverageLocation: Luna Park in Coney Island, 1000 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11224Work Schedule: Full-time, on-siteFLSA Status: ExemptKEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperational Leadership & Guest ExperienceOversee day-to-day operations for all F&B locations, ensuring quality and consistencyOversee the Food & Beverage management team across all F&B locationsCoordinate all technical needs of locations with Maintenance departmentDeliver exceptional guest service and food quality standardsEnsure compliance with NYC health codes, food safety laws, and labor regulations Financial Management & Cost ControlAchieve departmental goals in sales, cost of goods, labor, and operational uptimePrepare and analyze financial reports (daily, weekly)Drive cost-control measures and identify efficiency improvementsResponsible for labor cost and COGS forecastsOversee inventory control with support from Finance & Administration departmentTeam Leadership & DevelopmentRecruit, train, coach, and mentor a diverse team of Managers, Coordinators, Supervisors, and Team MembersDevelop and oversee Team Members schedules, monitor timekeeping, and approve payrollConduct performance evaluations and foster an inclusive workplace cultureDevelop and implement F&B department SOPs and department handbooksMaintain F&B department records by implementing a document control system Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementAssist with Manager on Duty functions of the amusement parkPartner with Marketing for branding, promotions, and seasonal campaignsCoordinate group outings, celebrations, and private events with the Sales departmentAssist F&A department with procurement process by defining scope of work and soliciting bids from vendorsLead internal progressive project management tasksAssist HR department to develop and maintain accurate job descriptions and organization chartCoordinate full life cycle recruitment efforts for high volume seasonal positions with the HR departmentStay current on industry trends and best practicesPerform other duties expected of the Director of F&B position and assist in all other operations as assigned and directed by the General ManagerQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSMinimum of 5 years of experience in multi-outlet F&B managementProven track record of operational excellence and team leadershipStrong knowledge of NYC labor laws, wage transparency, and food safety regulationsBachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory systemsEnthusiasm, energy & a positive attitudeGuest service-oriented culture mindsetKnowledge of project management principles and practicesAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. During the off- season, the normal work hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm unless you attend a conference, expo or other event.
