Java Analyst

Overview In this role you will develop and maintain Java/J2EE applications and RESTful services, while integrating with backend and big data technologies. You will join a global delivery team and own deliverables in an Agile environment, contributing to scalable, high-quality solutions. You’ll work on API development, data processing with Hadoop components, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet demanding customer needs. This position offers hands-on engineering impact in a fast-paced IT services context. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Java/J2EE applications and RESTful servicesDesign, document, test, and own delivery of complex applicationsIntegrate with backend technologies, databases and big data systemsDevelop and expose APIs; leverage APIGEE/SOA architecture where applicableParticipate in Agile development processes and collaborate with global teamsWork with Hadoop components (HDFS, Hive, MapReduce) and related toolsEnsure quality, scalability, and timely delivery in a demanding client environment Key requirements2+ years in software development2+ years in Java/J2EE application development2+ years in RESTful Webservice developmentStrong Spring framework hands-on experienceExperience with API development and backend integrationKnowledge of APIGEE or SOA architecture is preferredKnowledge of Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, MapReduce) and related componentsExposure to Hadoop components (HDFS, HBase, Hive) and Pig is preferredAbility to design, code, document, and test complex applicationsExperience in Agile development and global delivery environmentsGood communication skillsBachelor’s degree or equivalent; 2+ years IT experience considered in lieu of degreecommunication skillsownership and accountabilityteam collaborationJava/J2EESpringRESTful API development
