Process Development Engineer

About the Role Join our production team as a Process Development Engineer, where you will drive operational excellence by optimizing machining workflows and implementing advanced technical solutions. You will leverage your expertise in CNC programming and industrial systems to enhance product quality, reduce cycle times, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. Responsibilities Design and implement complex CNC programs for lathes and mills using advanced CAD/CAM software. Establish precise time standards and manufacturing methods to maximize facility throughput and efficiency. Perform detailed cost analysis by comparing actual labor and material expenditures against initial project estimates. Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including process travelers, setup sheets, and operational logs. Provide expert-level troubleshooting and guidance to resolve complex machining malfunctions and production bottlenecks. Coordinate the integration of new technologies, including system testing, user training, and final implementation. Manage R&D documentation and support cross-functional teams during product realization reviews. Required Skills Associate degree or higher in an engineering or technical discipline. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a precision machining environment. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and CNC programming. Strong analytical skills for cost estimation and process optimization. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Preferred Skills Proven track record in project management and organizational leadership. Experience with complex system integration and user-oriented software solutions. Advanced knowledge of perishable tooling and machine time-study methodologies.
