Join a growing, full-service engineering and surveying firm that is expanding its survey operations throughout New Jersey. With a strong backlog of work, recent project wins, and continued investment in technology and staff, the company is seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager to support and help lead a busy survey department based primarily out of the Mount Laurel, NJ office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a survey professional who enjoys a mix of project management, boundary analysis, client coordination, mentoring staff, and technical oversight, without being buried in corporate bureaucracy. The team is collaborative, growth-oriented, and equipped with modern technology including Leica robotic total stations, Carlson data collectors, UAV platforms, and advanced survey processing software.
What You'll Be Doing
Manage a variety of survey projects throughout New Jersey
Oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, utility, subdivision, and construction layout surveys
Perform deed research, boundary analysis, and file map preparation
Coordinate field crews, office staff, and project deliverables
Review survey calculations, plats, and CAD deliverables
Support and mentor junior survey staff and CAD technicians
Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and internal engineering teams
Assist with scheduling, project budgeting, and workload management
Utilize Civil 3D and related survey software for project oversight and review

What We're Looking For
5+ years of land surveying experience preferred
Strong understanding of New Jersey surveying practices and boundary principles
Experience managing or assisting with survey projects
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Ability to interpret deeds, plats, and survey records
Strong communication and organizational skills
Experience coordinating field and office workflows
Preferred Qualifications
NJ Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred but not required
Candidates actively pursuing licensure are highly encouraged to apply
Experience with Leica, Carlson, UAV/drone workflows, or photogrammetry is a plus
