Linux EngineerLocation : Must be local to Rhode Island or MA and able to be on site 2-3 days a weekInterview : VideoDuration : 12 months to start with potential extensions but no guaranteesMust haves: Configure/Install/Admin - Debian based (Ubuntu) systems and RHELHeavy LinuxKVM Hypervisor virtualizationPowerShell/Bash scriptingRequired Skills: Bash/Python scripting – at least intermediateConfigure/Install/Admin - Debian based (Ubuntu) systems and RHELHardware management – firmware, OOB (iLO), storage configuration (LVM)KVM Hypervisor virtualizationDocker (EE & CE), create containers, docker-compose (Kubernetes, docker swarm is a plus) Linux Benchmarking, Performance TestingSystemD and Linux services (NTP, DNS, Squid, NFS, iptables) Linux middleware services Apache, MySQLFilesystem setup and managementSystem Security i.e. MSB, security scanning tools (e.g. Qualys), firewall, PKIWorking Knowledge of k3S (Kubernetes) clusters deployed in rancher/fleet environments at the edge and in cloudStrong technical documentation skills
