Casting & Melting OperatorPosition: NightsPosition Summary: The Casting/Melting Operator is responsible for monitoring equipment, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality, and reporting any changes in conditions they can't control.Key Responsibilities:Ensure equipment is operating within specified parameters.Ensure quality is maintainedFill out required production documentsMaterial handlingAssist with tear down and rebuilding of equipment requiring manual laborMaintain clean/organized work areaPerforms other duties as requiredSkills & Competencies:Ability to work both independently and as a team.Basic troubleshooting and problem solving.Basic computer skillsBasic math skillsAbility to read and comprehend basic EnglishAbility to follow instructionsAbility to identify nonstandard situations and respond accordingly.Education & Experience:High school degree or GED equivalence.Experience in molten metal manufacturing preferredCrane and forklift experience preferred.Work Environment & Physical Requirements:Requires constant physical activity throughout shift such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.Flexible work schedule as needed with adequate notification.Always maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment.Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment
