Acts as a consultant/resource for patients and physicians.Schedule 5x8 Days, Monday-FridayContract Length: 13 WeeksNo weekends or on-call requirementsClinicians must be seperated from any Providence perm employment for at minimum of 3 months in order to be eligible for this position.Local candidates approvedRequired Education: Master's Degree from a genetic counseling training program approved by the American Board of Genetic CounselingRequired Licensure Upon Hire: Washington Genetic Counselor License.**Ok to start with Provisional License while perm state license is pendingRequired Experience: Well rounded experience dealing with genetic disorders including: cancer risk assessment, ordering and interpreting genetic test results, and providing psychosocial assessment and support.Preferred Experience: 1 year working with patients at risk for hereditary cancer.
