Includes development of specifications, device layout drawings, control and power schematics, PLC and QNX logic, and implementing solutions that deliver exceptional customer value. Works closely with the overall project team to design systems that exceed the project requirements. Uses creativity and innovation to tailor standard product offerings to meet customer needs. Leads project work and provide direction to less-senior team members.ResponsibilitiesEssential FunctionsPerforms diverse, specialized and complex work involving significant accountability and decision-making responsibilityDesigns new control systems and power distribution systems for industrial material handling systems and proposes modifications to existing equipment; customizes standard designs based on customer specifications and scope documentsReviews customer specifications and scope documentation for quotation and clarificationDesigns system layouts, schematics, and control devicesCreates control sequence of operation documents to ensure that designs meet customer expectationsMaintains progress schedules that meet project milestonesPrepares schematics and specifications for control panel fabricationProvides documentation and support to the field wiring teamCreates Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs; configures and implements systems that use the QNX operating systemWorks closely with the Software Engineering team to integrate control solutionsPerforms on-site commissioning to implement and validate the system designLeads and directs project work and less-senior team membersPerforms process checks and reviews the output by other team membersTravels up to 50%QualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements* Minimum of bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or related field or equivalent experience* Experience in engineering design and project execution, preferably in the material handling industryKnowledge, Skills and Abilities RequirementsExperience with various industrial HMI and SCADA systems and QNX OS a plusExperience with Allen-Bradley controls/controllers, Schneider PLCs, and Omron PLCs a plusProficient in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, SharePoint and VisioAbility to speak Japanese is a plusAbility to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced result-oriented environmentAbility to interface effectively with internal and external customers, vendors, consulting engineers, architects, and installersBenefit InformationMany great benefits to include Health/Vision/Dental/401k with match/Pet InsuranceFSA/HSAEmployee Assistance ProgramEOE Minorities/Women/Disabled/VeteransFederal ContractorIf you need assistance applying to an open position online, please email HR-ILUS@daifukuna.comJob Posting Min SalaryUSD $70,000.00Job Posting Max SalaryUSD $80,000.00
