Faculty Physician- Laryngologist- Assistant/Associate Professor (Academic/ Clinician Track)

The University of Minnesota Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery welcomes applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor on the academic or clinician track (as determined by qualification and interest).Position Highlights:This individual will join a large, well-established multidisciplinary team, which currently includes three faculty laryngologists and seven dedicated speech pathologists with specific expertise in voice and upper airway disorders. The team also works closely with multiple swallow-focused speech pathologists.This position provides an exciting opportunity and the support needed to practice full-time in laryngology. The individual will provide clinical care at the University of Minnesota Medical Center/M Health in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Candidates with a strong commitment to clinical research are encouraged to apply.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited ACGME Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency program.Completion of a Laryngology fellowship or equivalent.American Board of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery eligible/certified.Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota.Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States, if applicable. Commitment to outstanding patient care.Desire to work collaboratively with other specialties and colleagues.Enthusiasm for educating medical learners.Interest in enhancing the knowledge foundation of the specialty through regular engagement in relevant research and/or quality improvement.Professionalism and commitment to academic and subspecialty societies.Excellent problem-solving, self-motivation, and written and verbal communication skills.About the DepartmentThe University of Minnesota Department of Otolaryngology has been treating patients, conducting research, and educating the next generation of otolaryngologists for over 130 years. The base salary range this position is $300,000 - $400,000 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE.?
