Commercial Consultant – Life Sciences

Job Description: Manage project capabilities and proposal development by working with the project team to provide relevant secondary and primary research; identify gaps in informationBring structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically scope problem solving approach, and manage execution and effectively delegateManage up and down to secure timely and appropriate inputStructure and review deliverablesEnsure excellent internal team communicationDirectly apply senior feedback in creation of materials and deliverablesCapture key takeaways from client and internal discussions, external stakeholder discussionsConduct primary research interviews and extract insights for team discussion strategic recommendationsPrepare project deliverables for senior review in timely manner and in accordance with highest quality standardsRequirements: 2-3 years of direct and relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech arena (Industry or life sciences consulting)Progressively more experience required for Consultant and Senior ConsultantAbility to work in a highly fluid, interactive, demanding, matrixed client environment and build strong, successful business partnershipsDepending on role fit (Senior Analyst, Associate Consultant, Consultant or Senior Consultant), progressively broader and deeper understanding of, and direct experience with, relevant healthcare market dynamics across a range of therapy areasStrong critical thinking skillsSolid knowledge of healthcare market dynamics in major markets (US, EU5, Japan) as well as familiarity with patient, physician, and payer relationshipsExperience working with commercial leaders in New Product Planning (NPP), marketing, commercial analytics, and/or sales functionsIllustrative project types may include: commercial opportunity assessment and forecasting, go-to-market strategy, indication prioritization, product launch strategy, launch planning, franchise / brand / tactical planning, lifecycle strategy, HCP / patient segmentation, stakeholder engagement strategySolid understanding of relevant disease background and product dynamicsCandidates may have emerging areas of specific expertise (content or project type)Demonstrated ability to think and plan strategically, identify strategic options and trade-offs, effectively communicate business impact and strategic recommendationsProficient at Microsoft Office applications, e.g., PowerPoint, Word, ExcelBenefits: Competitive pay, incentives, retirement, and income security programsComprehensive benefits and wellness programs focused on healthy lifestylesGenerous paid time off, employee assistance programs and flexible work arrangementsPerformance driven environment including professional development and transfer opportunitiesPeople first culture fostering self expression, diversity, and a growth mindsetCelebrations!
