CNC Mastercam Programmer

Job Description Job Title: CNC Programmer (SolidWorks & Mastercam) Location: Livermore, CA Pay Range: $40 - $55 per hour (DOE) Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with strong experience in SolidWorks and Mastercam to support the programming and production of precision components for CNC mills and lathes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly proficient in CAD/CAM software, and capable of working closely with machinists and engineers to ensure high-quality, efficient manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities:Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for multi-axis CNC mills and CNC lathesInterpret engineering drawings, models, and GD&T requirementsCreate 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorksSelect appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies to maximize efficiency and qualityCollaborate with machinists to troubleshoot and improve machining processesPerform program prove-outs and make necessary adjustments on the shop floorEnsure all programs meet quality standards, tolerances, and production timelinesMaintain organized documentation of programs, setups, and revisionsSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to cycle time, tooling, and process optimization Qualifications:3+ years of CNC programming experience for mills and lathesProficiency in Mastercam (required)Strong experience with SolidWorks for modeling and designSolid understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materialsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and GD&TExperience with multi-axis machining preferredStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailEffective communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications:Experience with complex or tight-tolerance componentsKnowledge of fixture design and process optimizationFamiliarity with shop floor setup and operation Work Environment:Manufacturing/shop environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking processesCollaborative team setting with engineers, machinists, and production staff Compensation & Benefits:Competitive hourly pay: $40 - $55 per hour (based on experience)Overtime opportunities may be availableBenefits package (if applicable): health, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement plan How to Apply: Submit your resume detailing your CNC programming experience, software proficiency, and relevant projects. #INDTECH1 Meet Your Recruiter Rod Miller Vice President and Recruiting Manager925.680.4422rod@workers.com
