The Plastics Engineer will be a key player in their Bedford, New Hampshire facility. You will be hands on through early stage design into manufacturing and production operations for hundreds of product lines in ranging across different industries. Description The Plastics Engineer will be responsible for: Utilize advanced statistical and data analysis tools within a structured problem-solving framework to evaluate and improve existing processes for the client, translating their requirements into repeatable, high-capability manufacturing solutions. Plan, execute, and analyze multi-phase validation activities to ensure new equipment, processes, and tooling meet the clients functional and performance requirements. Develop and maintain Project Charters and Implementation Plans for client engagements, clearly defining scope, expected outcomes, resource requirements, and timelines. Serve as the technical liaison to the clients development and engineering teams, participating in design and project reviews while establishing product and equipment specifications that ensure manufacturability. Support the successful transfer of new processes and project solutions to the clients operations, including operator training and the creation of standard operating procedures where applicable. Establish and implement control plans to ensure that improvements delivered to the client are sustained and continue to deliver value over time. Contribute to the development and execution of operational strategies that drive Operational Excellence initiatives for the client at both regional and global levels. Profile The successful Plastics Engineer will have a background that follows: Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field, with 5 to 9 years of industry experience supporting client driven manufacturing environments. Mechanical, Industrial, or other engineering disciplines considered with relevant application experience. Strong working knowledge of applied statistics, process validation, root cause analysis, and Six Sigma methodologies, with the ability to apply these tools to solve client manufacturing and process challenges. Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard engineering software tools. Experience utilizing Minitab statistical software for data analysis and process improvement initiatives. Working knowledge of textile and plastics manufacturing processes in support of client production environments. Familiarity with web handling and converting processes. Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, communication, and project management skills when working directly with client stakeholders and internal teams. Proven ability to independently learn and apply new concepts through technical literature, online resources, and formal training programs.
