Work side-by-side with commercial (business) property owners, get hands-on with financials and operations, and build the real experience that sets you up for career growth into the Property Manager role.Work with a company that is growing rapidly, with a supportive team where you can learn, mentor and grow, working in a non-corporate environment with a strong vision for team and growth.Assistant Property Manager – Your Job DutiesDrive day-to-day commercial property management operations across a portfolio of retail, office, and industrial propertiesWork directly with property owners providing updates, recommendations and supportReview and interpret commercial leases, including CAM structures and tenant obligationsPerform CAM reconciliations and support budgeting and financial tracking for propertiesMonitor rent collections, enforce lease terms, and support resolution of delinquenciesManage accounts payable workflow including invoice processing, coding, and approvalsCoordinate maintenance, vendor work, and property inspections to ensure asset performanceCommunicate directly with tenants to resolve issues and maintain strong relationshipsDraft tenant notices, correspondence, and property communicationsSupport marketing and leasing efforts for vacant spacesStep in to support Property Manager responsibilities as neededAssistant Property Manager – You Have (Required Skills, Experience & Team Fit)Exposure to commercial property management where you are involved, not just observingWorking knowledge of CAM reconciliations and how leases actually impact the numbersConfidence navigating budgets, financial reports, and property performance metricsUnderstanding of accounts payable flow and how money moves through a propertyStrong skills in Microsoft Office, especially using Excel to make sense of dataFamiliarity with property management systems like Yardi (a plus)California Real Estate license or motivation to obtain it as you build your careerAssistant Property Manager – Benefits for YouYour pay range will be $28.85–$36.06 per hour, depending on your experience level.
