Software Engineer

Job Description Position SummaryLaser Photonics Corporation is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to research, design, develop, and maintain software systems used in laser, semiconductor, industrial, military, aerospace, communications, and scientific applications.This is a fully onsite position based in Lake Mary.This position works closely with hardware, electrical, optical, and mechanical engineering teams to develop advanced laser system technologies and application-specific software solutions in a fast-paced engineering environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze software requirements to determine design feasibility within time and cost constraintsDesign, develop, test, and maintain software for a variety of laser systemsCollaborate with hardware and engineering teams to evaluate software/hardware interfaces and overall system performance requirementsDevelop software systems using engineering principles, scientific analysis, and mathematical modelsCreate and execute software testing procedures, validation, and documentationModify, update, and document software required for machine functionalityDevelop custom software solutions for application-specific customer requirementsSupport software troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer-related technical issuesWork cross-functionally with optical, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop new products and technologiesParticipate in system integration, debugging, and performance optimizationRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in software engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline5+ years of professional software development experienceExperience with Visual Basic, C, and/or C++Experience with motion control software programming and developmentStrong understanding of digital and analog electronics, laser controls, drives, servos, and PC-based control systemsExperience developing, testing, integrating, and modifying operating systems and application softwareStrong organizational, problem-solving, and self-management skillsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environmentPreferred QualificationsEmbedded software development experienceVision system integration experienceExperience working with industrial automation, robotics, or laser systemsExperience in manufacturing or capital equipment environments What We OfferCompetitive base salary with strong growth potentialMedical benefits, paid holidays, and PTOCareer growth and professional development opportunitiesCollaborative environment working alongside highly skilled engineering professionalsOpportunity to help develop innovative laser technologies impacting multiple industries If you are a technically driven individual who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and developing advanced industrial technologies, we encourage you to apply and become part of the Laser Photonics team.Learn more at Laser Photonics Corporation Equal Opportunity EmployerLaser Photonics Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
