Project Engineer
In this role, you will be integral to the engineering documentation process for assigned projects, focusing on modular process equipment such as gas conditioning and pumping skids. You will collaborate closely with project managers and vendors to ensure that all engineering documentation meets customer specifications and industry standards. Your expertise in Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) and valve selection will be crucial to the success of the projects, allowing for both independent and team-based contributions.Key Responsibilities:Read and review customer specifications to prepare and manage all engineering documentation for projects.Develop material requirements and build bills of materials for valves and instruments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Provide input and verify Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), contributing to the design and optimization of mechanical components.Interface with project managers and shop personnel to facilitate smooth project execution and address any technical challenges.Research and analyze customer design proposals and specifications to evaluate feasibility and maintenance requirements.Required Qualifications:Thorough understanding of valve selection, flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, and other instrumentation used in process and instrument diagrams.Demonstrated experience working independently and collaboratively to produce P&ID designs, including the specification of components.Familiarity with process simulation software such as PROMAX and its application in engineering projects.Solid understanding of ASME/ANSI piping codes and the ability to perform related calculations.Proficiency in using design software such as Inventor, with excellent technical and analytical skills.Additional Details:Location: Tomball, TX 77375This position offers a unique opportunity to work with innovative modular process equipment while enhancing your technical skills in a collaborative environment.
