Minimum QualificationsBachelor s degree. Four years of progressively responsible project management experience in facility maintenance, stationary refuse-handling equipment, or sustained maintenance operations, including supervisory experience, are required. Additional progressively responsible project management experience in facility maintenance, stationary refuse-handling equipment, or sustained maintenance operations, including supervisory experience, may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.Recruitment NotesThis position oversees the Facility Maintenance Division of the Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) and reports directly to the Assistant Director of Technical Services. As a senior-level leadership role, the incumbent is responsible for directing and managing all facility maintenance operations within DSWM, which includes landfills, transfer stations, and Trash & Recycling Centers (TRCs), as well as supporting infrastructure. The incumbent ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all maintenance operations by effectively planning, executing, and overseeing maintenance programs, capital projects, and contracted services. This role requires a significant level of independent judgment and entails being a strategic, hands-on leader who can balance high-level administrative responsibilities with operational demands in a complex, fast-paced environment.
