Job Description Project EngineerOverviewWe are looking for a hands-on Project Engineer to lead and manage complex test projects across mechanical, aerospace, electrical, and fiber optic systems. You will work directly with customers and internal teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects safely, accurately, and on time.ResponsibilitiesManage test projects from start to finish including planning, scheduling, execution, and reportingAct as the main point of contact for customers throughout the projectReview customer test plans, requirements, and technical documentsDevelop test plans, procedures, and work instructionsCoordinate with lab teams to set up and run testsDesign and manage test setups including equipment, instrumentation, and fixturesMonitor project scope and timelines and communicate any changesSource materials, vendors, and services as neededAnalyze test data for accuracy and compliancePrepare clear and detailed test reportsEnsure all work meets safety standards and industry requirementsCollaborate with engineering and operations teams to solve technical problemsManage multiple projects across different engineering disciplinesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field3+ years of experience in engineering or test engineeringExperience working in a lab or test environmentKnowledge of environmental testing such as thermal, vibration, shock, pressure, electrical, or optical testingAbility to read and interpret technical documents and standardsProficiency with Microsoft Office and project toolsStrong communication and teamwork skillsOrganized and detail-orientedU.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency requiredAbility to obtain ATF approval as an Employee PossessorValid driver’s licensePreferred QualificationsExperience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD softwareExperience testing mechanical, electrical, or fiber optic systemsExperience in aerospace, EV, satellite, or similar technologiesExperience working in customer-facing engineering or project rolesWork EnvironmentHands-on work in a large test lab environmentExposure to advanced projects including rocket engines, satellites, EV batteries, and space hardwareFast-paced setting requiring attention to detail and safetyTeam-focused environment with opportunities for learning and growthJob Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Oxnard, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.We are currently seeking Project Engineers to serve as the primary technical and program interface between Experior Laboratories and our customers. Project Engineers are principally responsible for the accurate and on-time execution of test projects in accordance with contractual requirements.
