Calibration Tester
Position SummarySTARPLUS ENERGY LLC is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Calibration Tester to join our Reliability Calibration Lab team. The Calibration Tester will play a crucial role in quality, in the field of instrument calibration, while providing excellent customer service. The calibration equipment can range from basic measuring tools to highly complex equipment. The ideal candidate will possess competency in record keeping/organization, database maintenance, and spreadsheets. The individual will analytical, self-directed, and highly motivated.Roles & ResponsibilitiesPerform routine calibration of lab and facility equipmentEvaluate and troubleshoot calibration equipment. Determine pricing, repair lead-time, and repair approvals with external suppliersCreate, maintain, and execute calibration procedures for various instrumentation and equipmentMaintain calibration and repair schedules and monitor average lead-timeMaintain calibration database for all internal instruments and monitor due dates, perform calibrations, and generate calibration paperwork (certificates and reports).BasicMinimum Age: 18 years oldHigh School Diploma or GED/EquivalentMust be eligible to work in the United StatesWhile travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as requiredAbility to perform the physical demands of a Calibration Tester positionAble to use MS Office suite including Word and ExcelBasic understanding of hand tools & gagesSuccessfully pass a background, drug check, & basic skills testReliable, punctual, and able to work independentlyPreferred5+ years of experience as a Calibration TechnicianAssociate’s Degree, preferably in a technical discipline specific to calibration and instrumentationExperience with quality management systems (ISO: 17025, ISO: 9001, IATF:16949)Electro-Mechanically inclinedPractical use of micrometers, calipers, and other hand measurement toolsAbility to read drawings, diagrams, and other technical documentsCalibration, CMM, test/laboratory experienceExperience/knowledge of inspection and auditingWorking ConditionsAbility to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicalsAbility to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job functionAbility to lift up to 40 poundsLOCATIONKokomo, INREQ NUMBER24-105SALARY19.90Salary within the posted range is commensurate with experience and qualifications.BENEFITSOur benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, PTO, 401K with company match, and tuition reimbursement.
