Technical Alignment Manager

A natural problem-solver with a passion for technology, the Technical Alignment Manager (TAM) serves as a trusted technical advisor with expertise across multiple technology disciplines. This role focuses on aligning technology solutions with organizational goals, promoting best practices, and ensuring a seamless partnership between technical teams and business stakeholders.Job DescriptionServe as the primary technical advisor for a designated portfolio of accounts, building strong, long-term relationships with key business leaders, owners, and executive stakeholders.Provide strategic guidance by understanding business objectives and conducting regular service reviews to ensure alignment with technology best practices.Proactively translate complex technical concepts, troubleshoot issues, and provide analytical problem resolution using expert-level knowledge of products, services, and solutions.Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Support teams to advocate for stakeholder needs and ensure a seamless service experience.Identify business growth opportunities and coordinate with the sales organization as appropriate.Drive process improvement by documenting solutions in a knowledge base and identifying opportunities to streamline and automate procedures.Maintain clear and timely communication with leadership and stakeholders across all channels.Conduct in-person and virtual meetings to discuss:Current managed service performanceCurrent and future projectsTechnology roadmaps and strategic initiativesOperational improvements and recommendationsCreate and deliver periodic reporting to meet varying stakeholder expectations.Education / ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or formal technical education preferred.5+ years of progressive technical IT experience.3+ years of experience in a technical, stakeholder-facing role with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and executive stakeholders.Sales engineering and/or IT leadership experience is helpful but not required.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesStrategic CommunicationExceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and act as a strategic advisor.Technical BreadthStrong, well-rounded knowledge across networking, infrastructure, and application support.Network AdministrationSolid understanding of LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.Proficiency with troubleshooting tools such as PING and TRACERT.Microsoft EcosystemDeep expertise in Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory (Azure and on-premises), Group Policy, and PowerShell.Cloud & Application SupportExperience with Microsoft 365 migrations, administration, and troubleshooting web-based applications.Security & PermissionsStrong understanding of user and email account administration, file and share permissions, and remediation of common security threats including malware and viruses.Working ConditionsIn-office position.RequirementsAbility to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to operate a computer and related technology equipment.Valid driver’s license required.
