This role supports day-to-day operations integration activities and ensures infrastructure, systems, and supporting technologies remain aligned with mission requirements.The Operations Engineer must be familiar with the technologies and technical programs that interface with Missile Warning systems and work closely with engineering, integration, and operations teams to support sustained mission readiness.Impact of the RoleThe Operations Engineer supports continuous mission readiness by ensuring FORGE facilities and operational systems remain properly integrated and functional. This role contributes to system availability, infrastructure reliability, and effective coordination between operations and engineering teams at the operational site level.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide operational engineering support for FORGE facilities and computer hardware at operational sitesSupport integration and sustainment of infrastructure supporting Missile Warning operationsAssist with monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordination of operational systemsCoordinate with engineering and integration teams to resolve operational issuesSupport site readiness activities and infrastructure alignment with mission needsMaintain awareness of technical programs interfacing with Missile Warning systemsParticipate in operational reviews, working groups, and coordination meetings as requiredRequired Knowledge & Technical ExpertiseSystems engineering fundamentalsRequirements development and traceabilityHardware and software integration supportSystem Verification & Validation (V&V) conceptsFORGE enterprise environmentsIPT coordination and cross-team collaborationGovernment SEIT coordination processesQualificationsMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience supporting DoD, Missile Warning, or space system engineering effortsBachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related technical disciplineDemonstrated experience supporting systems engineering activitiesAbility to work collaboratively within IPT and enterprise environmentsActive TS/SCI clearance
