At Portland Veterinary Wellness Center, we believe in providing comprehensive care for our patients through traditional and modern medicine. Our services include preventive medicine, urgent care, surgery and dentistry, thus giving our staff the opportunity to expand their skills and knowledge in these areas.
With a complete in-house diagnostic laboratory including in-house blood analyzers, digital dental radiography, digital radiography, ultrasound, and a surgical suite equipped with quality anesthesia and monitoring systems. Veterinary Technicians play an integral role at our hospital. We nurture a team-based approach with a supportive staff and caring environment. Our Ideal Candidate:
Credentials as a Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Oregon preferred though not required.
You possess strong leadership skills and enjoy both teaching & mentoring. You truly love veterinary medicine and believe in ongoing engagement in education and growth, in every form!
Take the initiative – you are ahard worker who contributes to the operation of the entire hospital, you will help get all the day’s duties done!
Passionate about growth and development
You possess clinical skills and experience that include (but are not limited to):
o Patient assessment and physical examinations
o Phlebotomy and catheter placement
o Knowledge of radiology, safety and proper technique
o Anesthesia monitoring proficiency
o Perioperative surgical nursing skills
o Routine dental prophylaxis experience
o Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures
