The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for mathematics education and a commitment to forming young minds and hearts in the Catholic faith. Our teachers foster academic excellence and character development, guiding students spiritually, intellectually, and socially. In addition to teaching middle school math, the ideal candidate would be willing and able to teach a middle school religion class (must be Catholic). This position also includes serving as a homeroom teacher for a middle school cohort. St. Alphonsus is the only Catholic school in Seattle offering a single-sex educational experience in middle school. Beginning in 7th grade, all academic classes are structured into separate boys' and girls' cohorts, while in 5th and 6th grades, only homeroom and religion classes follow this model. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
