As a Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of your territory, building a strong pipeline, developing strategic relationships, and driving consistent revenue growth.New Business Development & Sales ExecutionAggressively pursue and secure new business within your assigned territoryMeet or exceed sales goals, activity targets, and performance expectations consistentlyIdentify, qualify, and convert prospective clients through proactive outreach and relationship-buildingGenerate a strong pipeline of leads and referrals through personal prospecting effortsUtilize CRM tools to effectively manage prospects, track interactions, and monitor sales performanceApply best practices to position Gateway services as the preferred solutionTerritory & Strategy ManagementDevelop and execute quarterly sales and marketing strategies in partnership with your managerManage your territory efficiently, maximizing time spent with high-potential prospectsMaintain accurate and up-to-date prospect data within your territoryMonitor competitor activity and market trends to refine sales strategiesEnsure all sales efforts align with profitability expectations and ethical standardsCustomer Engagement & Relationship BuildingBuild and maintain strong relationships with prospective and new customersUnderstand customer needs and recommend tailored solutionsServe as a trusted advisor and “helpful expert” to clientsRespond promptly and professionally to inquiries, concerns, and service needsRepresent Gateway with a high level of professionalism, integrity, and customer focusReporting & Continuous ImprovementPrepare accurate and timely sales activity and performance reportsParticipate in ongoing training and development to enhance sales effectivenessMaintain expertise in Gateway services and competitive offeringsManage expenses responsibly and maintain accurate reportingWhat You Bring
Education & ExperiencePost-secondary education in business, sales, or marketing preferredMinimum of 3 years of account management or sales experienceExperience working with or knowledge of veterinary clinics or the vet industry is an assetStrong understanding of relationship-based selling and account developmentExperience using Microsoft Office and CRM toolsComfortable working toward Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to a vehicleSkills & Strengths
