They are actively seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Legal Adjuster to handle Florida and Maryland litigated and lost-time claims in a fully remote, full-time contract role . Structured workflows and manageable caseloads What You'll Be Doing Manage Florida and Maryland Workers' Compensation litigated & lost-time claims Investigate claims and evaluate compensability and exposure Apply Florida and Maryland WC statutes and case law to determine benefits Set, monitor, and adjust accurate reserves Coordinate medical treatment and return-to-work efforts Ensure timely state filings, EDI submissions, and full regulatory compliance Partner closely with defense counsel on Depositions Mediations What We're Looking For 3–5+ years of Workers' Compensation Lost-Time / Legal adjusting experience Experience handling Maryland Workers' Compensation claims Strong working knowledge of Florida & Maryland WC law Presumption claims Excellent investigation, documentation, and communication skills Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, remote, team-oriented environment Must reside in Maryland Core Claims Expertise Workers' Compensation Indemnity Claims Compensability & Exposure Analysis Medical Management & RTW Coordination EDI & State Compliance Depositions, Mediations & Litigation Support J-18808-Ljbffr
