Warehouse Worker/Assembling/Loading

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker specializing in assembling, loading, and inventory management to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, accurate order fulfillment, and safe handling of materials. Responsibilities Safely operate warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials. Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock counts and updating the warehouse management system (WMS) using RF scanners and AS400 platforms. Assemble products and packaging materials according to specifications for shipping or manufacturing processes. Handle heavy lifting tasks while adhering to OSHA safety standards to prevent injuries. Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing orders for dispatch, verifying shipment accuracy, and managing documentation. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance. Participate in warehouse stocking activities, ensuring proper placement of inventory for optimal accessibility. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency and improve inventory management practices. Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist in the operation of heavy machinery such as cranes or specialized equipment for construction or manufacturing projects when required. Experience Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with responsibilities including order picking, packing, shipping & receiving, and inventory management. Proven ability to operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks safely and effectively. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 systems, and inventory control procedures. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and materials handling. Experience with assembly tasks within manufacturing or distribution settings. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Warehouse supervisor experience is preferred but not mandatory; candidates should demonstrate leadership potential or prior supervisory roles in similar environments. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management and order fulfillment processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining safety standards.
