Role: User Interface Engineer (Remote)Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)Payout: $30 - $70/hourRole Overview:We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a UI Engineer to work on a contractor basis. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain user interfaces that directly support the training and evaluation of next-generation AI systems across domains such as finance, healthcare, and engineering. Your work will contribute to high-quality, real-world input that shapes how AI models learn, reason, and perform. The opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong front-end expertise who are passionate about building scalable, user-centric interfaces in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.Key Responsibilities:• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable UI components using React and TypeScript to enhance the platform's front-end capabilities.• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, user-centric solutions aligned with business requirements.• Translate complex technical and business requirements into elegant, responsive, and accessible user interfaces optimized for performance and usability.• Champion best practices in UI design, code quality, and performance optimization throughout the development lifecycle, including conducting thorough code reviews.• Proactively identify and resolve UI/UX issues to continuously improve the product’s quality and usability for global users.• Mentor peers on front-end engineering standards and foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.Required Skills & Qualifications:• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in front-end development with a strong focus on React and TypeScript, including component-based architecture and state management.• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind CSS, Material-UI) with a strong emphasis on responsive and accessible design.• Experience translating wireframes and design mockups into functional, pixel-perfect implementations using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.• Solid understanding of front-end performance optimization techniques, including bundle analysis, code splitting, and lazy loading.• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development workflows in a team environment.• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, async-first environment with clear communication and documentation practices.• Prior experience in AI, machine learning, or data labeling is not required — domain expertise in front-end development is the primary focus.More About the Opportunity:This role offers the chance to contribute to a globally recognized platform that connects domain experts with the development of frontier AI models.
