Maximo Solutions Design Engineer

Our client's large and growing program is responsible for telecommunications, cloud, data center, and network services across critical federal centers and facilities in the U.S.! You will join the Specialized Services team as they work to consolidate 13 centers into one Enterprise Asset Management platform (Maximo Application Suite). You will serve as the functional and technical solutions design lead gathering requirements, designing configurations, and optimizing workflows that bring the Enterprise MAS environment to life across facilities and real estate operations. A key solution design role on a massive, long-term government program!Must be within 1 hour commute of the following cities for occasional onsite visits:Washington, D.CHouston, TXGreenbelt, MDHuntsville, ALHampton, VAHancock Country, MSCleveland, OH**Must have an active Public Trust or eligibility to obtain one**REQUIREMENTS:8+ years' experience designing, developing, & architecting Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and/or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systemsIncluding 3+ years hands-on configuring and designing solutions within IBM Maximo and/or Maximo Application Suite (MAS) during migration or implementationsStrong experience gathering, documenting, and translating functional requirements into technical specifications and configuration designs across Maximo/MAS modules (Work Orders, PM/CM, Asset Management)Excellent communication skills & proven ability working directly with customers (internal and external) to define requirements, document designs, and coordinate across cross-functional teamsMust be able to obtain Public Trust clearance (Government investigative background check w/ fingerprinting)B.S. Degree REQUIRED (Proof must be obtained)PREFERRED SKILLSET:IBM Maximo CertificationsExperience working in a Red Hat OpenShift environmentExperience with Maximo Mobile and related configuration toolsExtensive Government/Federal agency experience – understanding of IT governance standards (NIST/FISMA)RESPONSIBILITIES:Serve as primary functional POC for Maximo Application Suite (MAS) user support, business process optimization, and configuration managementServe as liaison between business stakeholders, field users, IT teams, and vendors to ensure MAS solutions align with operational and maintenance needsGather requirements directly from customers, field personnel, and business leaders; translate into business requirements documents, user stories, process maps, and configuration specificationsAnalyze existing workflows and business processes across key Maximo modules; identify and implement opportunities for modernization, optimization, and standardization across centersImplement standardized release management including version control, testing, and controlled promotion of changes across development, test, staging, and production environmentsProvide engineering support for the RedHat OpenShift-based MAS container platformInstall, integrate, validate, and document MAS components, services, and system software into a fully operational systemConduct system verification testing and support customer acceptance of delivered solutions
